On June 16th and 17th, Frivatti Industrial’s processing facility in Itaipulândia welcomed the municipal healthcare team for another important health promotion initiative: vaccination against the flu virus (influenza).
This initiative is part of a joint effort between Itaipulândia’s Department of Health and Frivatti, aimed at increasing vaccination coverage, making it easier for employees to access immunization, and reinforcing the company’s commitment to public health.
The campaign, which began in the first weeks of April, initially focused on the priority groups defined by the Ministry of Health. It is now available to the entire population over six months of age at the municipality’s local health units. Frivatti Genetic was also included in May, and now the vaccination has reached Frivatti Industrial’s processing facility.
The flu is a viral infection that may seem mild but can often progress to more severe conditions, such as pneumonia, respiratory infections, worsening of chronic diseases, and, in extreme cases, can lead to death. Groups such as the elderly, pregnant women, young children, and people with comorbidities are more susceptible to complications.
In addition to protecting the vaccinated individual, immunization directly contributes to collective protection by reducing the circulation of the virus in the community, lowering transmission rates, and easing the burden on healthcare services. In the workplace, it also directly impacts the reduction of sick leave, boosts productivity, and supports employees’ well-being.
Frivatti reaffirms its commitment to the health and safety of its employees and believes that actions like this are essential to building healthier workplaces, protecting not only those who work at the company but also their families and the community as a whole.
