Frivatti has officially joined the Maio Laranja campaign, a national movement in Brazil to fight against the abuse and sexual exploitation of children and adolescents. The company has been promoting a series of awareness actions aimed at employees and the community.

On May 13th, the Frivatti Genetic unit, located in the district of São José do Itavó, in Itaipulândia, hosted a lecture by Dr. Cynthia Dauana, a specialist in the field. She emphasized that combating abuse starts at home, through open dialogue, active listening, and building trust between parents and children.

After the lecture, employees participated in a symbolic action: they received campaign stickers, which were placed on the unit’s vehicles. The initiative went beyond the company’s gates — employees were encouraged to place the stickers together with their children, using the moment to talk about the meaning of the Maio Laranja symbol and the importance of protecting childhood.

The actions also reached the Frivatti Agro unit in Medianeira, where employees took part in an awareness activity on the topic, followed by vehicle sticker placement. This initiative reinforced the company’s commitment to spreading information and encouraging discussion on this topic at all its sites.

On May 16th, the action continued at the company’s industrial plant, with the distribution and application of stickers on employees’ cars and the company’s fleet, always with prior authorization.

The highlight of the campaign took place last Tuesday (May 21st), when employees at Frivatti Industrial attended another lecture with Dr. Cynthia. The session was held during the lunch break for production teams and at the start of the second slaughter shift, ensuring broad participation.

The specialist addressed essential topics such as signs of abuse, reporting channels, and the importance of involving the whole society in protecting children and adolescents. According to her, information is one of the main tools to prevent cases and break the cycle of silence that still surrounds the issue.

As part of its social commitment, Frivatti also donated 1,000 personalized cups to the municipality of Itaipulândia. The donation took place on May 16th at local public schools as part of the Maio Laranja campaign actions. The gifts were distributed to students from 1st to 5th grade of elementary school and to students from the municipal special education school. This initiative is part of Frivatti’s partnership with the Protection Network, strengthening the awareness and mobilization actions carried out throughout May in the municipality.

Frivatti’s campaign aims to go beyond the company’s walls, bringing the discussion into families and the community. The goal is clear: to foster dialogue, promote a culture of protecting childhood, and mobilize everyone in the fight against any form of sexual violence.
